Attached 17th century cottages (not for rental)

Adjoining the house are two 17th century terraced cottages and a garage converted from a former stable. The overall dimensions of this property are 23 metres long 7 metres wide. The two-storey building is currently arranged as follows:

Ground floor
Double garage with up- and- over door opening onto grassed area in front of small terraced garden at the side of the building. The cottages are effectively two separate houses each with their own front door and windows overlooking the fountain at the front of the main house. Each house comprises a single room on the ground floor although currently the two rooms are interconnecting. The first house, which can also be accessed by an arched doorway in the corner of the main house’s living room, has a concrete floor and the walls have been plastered. There is also electricity and water connected. The second house has old tiles on the floor and is in need of modernisation. Currently in the corner is the central heating boiler (oil fired). There is electricity direct to this property but not water.

First floor
Above the garage and cottages (accessed by stone steps at the rear of the garage) are a series of 4 interconnecting rooms with wonderful exposed beams. The large space could easily be converted into three or four bedrooms with two staircases linking with the ground floor or alternatively the two cottages could be made into one 3/4 bedroom house. The opportunities exist therefore to create a gite complex or a separate house for bed and breakfast or alternatively a 'granny flat'. With the regular flow of tourists in the Loire Valley and through the village there is strong potential for a bed and breakfast business.

Cave
Underneath the main house and accessed by stone steps leading from an arched doorway where the main house is joined to the cottages is a cave with an arched ceiling. This leads on to a much older cave carved out of rock and ideal for laying down wine.
